Five players representing Caernarfonshire & District Golf Union made their mark at this year’s Trubshaw Cup, contested across the links and parkland challenges of Tenby and Ashburnham — with three of our county’s finest finishing inside the top ten of what is one of Welsh amateur golf’s most prestigious events.
Leading the charge was Shaun Harpin, whose consistent performance across both venues earned him a fantastic runner-up finish. Close behind, Lee Jones delivered a battling display, coming home in seventh place. Rounding out an impressive top-ten showing was Iwan Lewis, who secured tenth position in a highly competitive field.
Beyond the leaderboard, the county was further represented by Nick Lofthouse and Jac Roscoe, both of whom gave a fine account of themselves throughout the two-day event. Their presence at a competition of this level speaks to the depth of talent that Caernarfonshire golf continues to produce.
