Seniors programme

Seniors County Team

The Seniors county team represents Caernarfonshire in competition against Anglesey, Denbighshire and Flintshire through the NWCGA Seniors programme, as well as in the Welsh Senior Inter-Counties Championships organised under Wales Golf. Seniors competition is open to players aged 55 and over who are members of an affiliated club.

The Seniors programme runs its own schedule of inter-county fixtures, culminating in the NWCGA Seniors Inter-County Championship, which is a team event for eight players per county, held at a rota host club. The NWCGA Seniors also compete against English county opposition, with the NWCGA combined seniors side taking on Cheshire and Shropshire & Herefordshire in inter-association fixtures across the season.

The Seniors Captain leads all aspects of the senior team programme, from player selection to travel arrangements for the Welsh Inter-Counties, working closely with the County Secretary on logistics for away fixtures.
