Lee Jones successfully defended his Caernarfonshire County Championship title with an excellent round of 70 at Rhos-on-Sea Golf Club.
Lee produced a superb performance to retain the championship in what proved to be a challenging but enjoyable day of county golf, with the course providing a fantastic test for the field. Jason Spencer took the second place honours with a solid round of 71.
There was also success in the net competition, with Mackenzie Stark of Conwy taking the net prize after an excellent 73 gross, 72 net.
The championship attracted a strong field, and it was fantastic to see so many players competing for the county title and enjoying the opportunity to play competitive county golf.
A huge thank you goes to Paul Roberts and his team at Rhos-on-Sea Golf Club for their hard work in presenting the course in such fantastic condition. The greens were exceptional and provided a true test throughout the championship.
We would also like to thank Eilir Angel, our County President, for kindly acting as the official starter for the competition.
Finally, a massive thank you to Mark Longmore and Sue Hughes for all their hard work behind the scenes, particularly with the scoring and organisation of the championship. Events like this simply would not happen without the commitment and support of everyone involved.
